iOS App Architecture

By Alex Vasiliu, iOS Solution Architect

I design iOS architectures that stay maintainable as a product and its team grow, using clear module boundaries, established patterns and automated quality checks.

Most of my work has been inside large production apps used by millions of people, in retail, banking, energy and healthcare. In those codebases, architecture decides how safely a team can ship. I focus on boundaries that are easy to enforce, navigation that is decoupled from screens, and documentation that lets other developers pick up the code long after handoff.

That can mean designing a new app from the first commit, or bringing structure to an existing one feature by feature.

What this includes

  • MVVM and Coordinator patterns
  • Modularization with Swift Package Manager and frameworks
  • Unit and snapshot testing
  • SwiftLint and SonarQube for code quality
  • Documentation and long-term maintenance
